Capability & QA

Material R&D, casting, carbide insertion, hardfacing overlay and precision machining sit under one roof — so the insert, its parent casting and the finished tolerance are one supplier’s responsibility, not three.

What the foundry does

We specialise in composite reinforced wear components for mining, quarrying and mineral processing. The portfolio spans high manganese steel, chromium cast iron, alloy steel and bi-metal wear solutions for chute liners, mill and metal shredder wear parts, alongside OEM/ODM customisation and on-site wear analysis. One roof, one drawing, one heat number.

Production equipment

Melting

Medium-frequency induction and gas-fired furnaces with on-line spectral control — chemistry is corrected at the furnace, not after the pour.

Moulding

Resin sand and lost foam casting, HPM controlled cooling. Patterns are printed or machined in-house for rapid development.

Machining

1,600 t hydraulic press, CNC vertical lathes, milling and boring, shot blasting — one set-up per drawing wherever the part allows it.

Composite station

Tungsten carbide and TiC insertion, plus automatic hardfacing overlay, done at the same bench as the casting.

Heat treatment

Water toughening and quenching furnace, stress-relief furnace. Austenitising temperature is logged per heat.

Testing & QA

Optical emission spectrometer (SPECTRO), metallographic microscope, hardness tester, ultrasonic testing and magnetic particle inspection.

Capacity and pattern library

  • Extensive pattern library for cone, jaw and impact crushers, ball mills and HPGR — a drawing is often not needed.
  • Maximum single casting weight up to 10 tons.
  • 3D scanning and reverse engineering; rapid pattern development from a worn sample.
  • Standard stock for quick shipment; custom parts scheduled on agreed timelines.

Material capability

FamilyGrades and forms
ConventionalMn13 / Mn18 / Mn22 manganese steel, Cr26 high chromium iron, alloy and Ni-hard grades.
CompositeTiC / WC inserts cast into the wear face, bi-metal composite, hardfacing overlay, composite matrix.
CustomisedFormulations matched to the ore’s abrasion and impact profile, not to a catalogue number.

Four bi-metal constructions

TypeHow it is builtWhere it belongs
Liquid–liquid cast bi-metalFused high-chromium layer poured onto a manganese or alloy substrate.Ball mills, cone crushing, heavy impact.
Inserted bi-metalTiC or WC blocks set only in the high-wear zone.HPGR studs, hard-ore crushing.
Hardfaced CCO bi-metalChromium carbide overlay on plate, for low-impact sliding abrasion.Chutes, hoppers, transfer points.
Explosion-clad bi-metalFlat panels bonded by explosive cladding.Simple flat liner structures only.

On site, not just on paper

A liner is half the job. The other half is knowing what the machine is actually doing: how much wear face is left, what alloy is really in the chamber, and whether it is the setting or the feed that is killing it. We walk the chamber with your maintenance team, then write down what the numbers support.

Wear measured

On the liner, in place — not estimated from a photo.

Grade read on the spot

Handheld XRF on a flat in the yard, no sample cut.

Chamber and setting

Closed-side setting and feed gradation recorded with the wear map.

Written report

Change-out plan, parts list, backing compound and fitting notes, photos.

Every next order starts with a measurement, not a guess: wear weight lost, wear depth, and hours run — the next set is specified against the rock you actually crush, not the one in the catalogue.

Dispatch

By truck, by train, by container — loaded, lashed and photographed. Crates are marked so the heat number on the test bar still matches the plate on arrival, and every shipment leaves with its inspection record.

Why buyers come back

In-houseWhat it buys you
Composite metallurgy — TiC and WC insertsFull chain, no subcontract: melt to machined part.
ISO 9001 QA and NDTFull material traceability, melt to finished goods.
Reverse engineeringRapid pattern development from a worn sample.
Flexible supplyStock for fast delivery; engineered to order when it is not.
Wear analysisCost per tonne of ore, not price per kilo of steel.
Send us a worn part A photo with overall length, width, height and slot dimensions — or ship the part. You get the wear section, a hardness map and a written grade recommendation, at no charge.
